The end is almost here. With just two more episodes left of this adored show, this is how to watch Game of Thrones season 8, episode 5 online.

Four episodes in and we've seen giant battles, epic scenes of Westeros and in typical Game of Thrones style, the deaths of a number of loved characters. But considering where episode four left off we're expecting the next two episodes to be just as epic. You will want, if not need to watch Game of Thrones season 8, episode 5.

The first two episodes of this season left us craving action. Game of Thrones responded with two high octane episodes and now it looks like we will be getting two more at the same level. Be prepared to be an emotional wreck by the end.

This is great news for those ready to see it all come to an end in the most dramatic kind of ways, not so much for those not ready to say goodbye. So with the next instalment coming this weekend, this is how to watch Game of Thrones, season 8, episode 5.

After 8 seasons, 2 days, 19 hours and 30 minutes worth of content and a plethora of memorable moments, it has all led to this season with Game of Thrones finally wrapping everything up. You can find streaming options for English speaking countries below.

Watch Game of Thrones episode 5: stream from outside your country

Want to watch Game of Thrones season 8, episode 5 in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, India, UAE or New Zealand? We've found all of your best options and listed them below.

But, if you find yourself in the unfortunate circumstances where you've booked a holiday over the air time of the first episode, then things get a bit more difficult. For those unlucky fans, all hope isn't lost yet. You will find that watching it won't be an option thanks to geo-blocking. This means that broadcasters do tend to try and stop you from watching in other countries, putting up some virtual roadblocks.

But, thanks to a little bit of working around, there is still a way to catch all the episodes while you're away. By using a VPN, you will still be able to catch up on the show by changing your IP address to a location back where you live, allowing you to watch that important first episode (assuming that doesn't breach any TS&Cs, of course) - and that's without finding some dodgy stream on Reddit.

Everything we still want to see in the OnePlus 7 Pro

Posted: 12 May 2019 10:00 AM PDT

We're expecting to see the OnePlus 7 Pro launch on May 14, alongside the non-pro OnePlus 7, at OnePlus' community launch event. There's a lot we already know, thanks to a combination of OnePlus' slow drip-feed of information, and a plethora of leaks, but there's still a lot we've yet to find out.

The big question mark lies over the 'Pro' suffix – OnePlus series usually consist of a standard phone, like the OnePlus 6, then a 'T' variant later in the year, like the OnePlus 6T. The company hasn't released a Pro phone however, so we don't really have historic phones to analyse to try and figure out what exactly OnePlus is about to release.

So instead of speculating endlessly on possible OnePlus 7 Pro features – which we've already done – we've put together a list of features that typical OnePlus phones don't have, that we'd like to see.

1. Wireless charging

wireless charging

Something we see in an increasing number of high-end smartphones is wireless charging – it's convenient, it's fairly quick, and it's a lot easier than fiddling with a load of wires. So far OnePlus has avoided introducing wireless charging capability into its phones, largely because the tech can be expensive and OnePlus phones are typically mid-range, but we'd love that to change for its first true premium phone.

OnePlus founder and CEO Pete Lau did say future OnePlus phones won't have wireless charging, so we're not holding our breath, but Lau's line of reasoning isn't exactly solid. He pointed out that wireless charging is slower than powering up using a cable, which is true, but speed isn't the only factor – wireless charging is far, far more convenient, and we're not sure time is a huge constraint for too many people powering up their phones.

With wireless chargers making their way into more and more homes, we'd love to see OnePlus catch up with the times and embrace wireless charging.

2. Interesting design variations

OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. Image credit: OnePlus

OnePlus phones typically have a fine design, but the company has shown it knows how to make a great-looking handset with the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition – its black body and gold trim is eye-catching and, more importantly, rather unique.

While phones like the Huawei P30 and Honor View 20 have bright and colorful rear designs, you could just as easily find them eclectic and garish. On the other hand, the McLaren Edition handset is understated and bold, and so we trust OnePlus with making a great-looking device that doesn't rely on bright colors and crazy patterns.

We'd even be happy with a few newer colors – most handsets launch in black, white and sometimes blue, so if OnePlus picked any other colors it'd make for a novel design. We've heard rumor that the company is working on an Almond variant, which could be some kind of light brown, and if OnePlus uses a design similar to the McLaren phone it could look pretty classy.

3. Support for microSD cards

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has expandable memory. Image credit: TechRadar

OnePlus phones have typically had storage options that only go up to 256GB, which is fine for most consumers, but power-users often want more storage, and if OnePlus is going to kick off its Pro range with a device designed for hardcore phone users, it couldn't go wrong with expandable memory.

Few phones have expandable memory these days, and it feels a lifetime since handsets like the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 offered the possibility, but it's still a valuable addition to devices.

MicroSD slots do take up valuable space in a phone, so instead of allowing for expandable memory, OnePlus could also consider creating a 512GB storage version of the phone, which is again something it hasn't done before. Since 'plus-sized' phones can sometimes have up to 1TB storage, like in the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, this isn't outside the realms of possibility.

4. Some kind of reinforcement for mechanical parts

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom. Image credit: TechRadar

Many rumors about the OnePlus 7 Pro state it has a full-body screen and a pop-up camera and, as with any mechanical or moving part in a smartphone, we've got our worries. Will it break if we drop it, or hit it too hard against a surface, or will it just fall apart through normal use like many reviewers' Samsung Galaxy Fold devices?

Some phones with moving parts have fail-safes in case of trouble, for example the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom, with a pop-up 'shark fin' design, has an accelerometer – if you drop the phone the fin pops down, like a turtle retreating into its shell.

Similarly the Samsung Galaxy A80 and Oppo Find X have moving parts that are fairly large, so aren't big enough to be damaged by a few knocks. If the OnePlus 7 Pro is to have a study pop-up camera, OnePlus is going to need to find a way to protect this mechanical part.

5. A better speaker array

The OnePlus 6 had only a single speaker location. Image credit: TechRadar

Many smartphones have a single speaker for music and sounds – this can be fine for if you're going to put on some tunes while the phone lays around, but if you're trying to stream a film or play a game you can often find your hand covering the speaker, so your music is muffled.

In addition music quality can be fine through one speaker, but it's often far better with the surround-sound effect that can be created when a handset has multiple speakers.

If the OnePlus 7 Pro is to be a premium device, one great way of OnePlus setting it apart from the competition would be to include a high-end audio setup, with multiple speakers and a great dynamic range.

Alternatively OnePlus could distract us with a 3.5mm headphone jack, which so many phones seem to be dropping these days. We wouldn't mind standard speakers if we could just listen to tunes through our traditional wired headphones.

A lightweight Tinder Lite app is in the works for emerging markets

Posted: 12 May 2019 06:30 AM PDT

We've seen Twitter Lite, and Facebook Lite, and many others, and now Tinder is getting in on the act – it says it's developing a lightweight version of its dating app for emerging markets with spotty connections and cheaper phones.

For big tech companies looking to crack India and other countries as they get up to speed, a Lite app makes a lot of sense, so Tinder obviously doesn't want to miss out.

Details on Tinder Lite are pretty thin on the ground at the moment, but parent company Match Group has told investors that the app is going to be out before the end of the year, as TechCrunch reports.

As with other Lite apps, the expectation is that it'll go easy on bandwidth and storage requirements – you'll be able to get Tinder Lite up and running smoothly on just about every phone out there.

Making Tinder more effective

"It's a big step forward addressing the needs of consumers there," explained Match Group CEO Mandy Ginsberg, saying that the new app would be targeted at growing markets in southeast Asia in particular.

"Tinder Lite will be a smaller app to download. It will take less space on your phone, making Tinder more effective, even in more remote areas or regions. And keep in mind, these are regions where data usage still comes at a premium."

Announcing its Q1 2019 results, Match Group said the main Tinder app is now averaging around 4.7 million paid subscribers, which is 1.3 million more than last year. Tinder Lite could spark even more growth.

Cutting down on the size and demands of the app likely means some features are going to be lost along the way, but we'll have to wait and see exactly what Tinder Lite does and doesn't keep from the main Tinder app.

Rage 2 release date, trailer, news and rumors

Posted: 12 May 2019 06:08 AM PDT

The run up to the reveal of Rage 2 has been somewhat fitting for a game that seems like it’s going to revolve around chaos and anarchy.

Between leaks, tongue-in cheek teasers and even more leaks we now officially know that Bethesda is going to be following up 2011’s Rage with a sequel titled Rage 2.

From everything we've seen so far Rage 2 will be another post-apocalyptic thrill-ride that will bring players into a world that’s a cross between Mad Max, Fallout and Borderlands. With, of course, the fast-paced shooting we've come to know Bethesda games to have.

[Update: Bethesda has unveiled its post-release plans for Rage 2. Expect new vehicles, weapons and enemies as well as some big expansions in 2019.]

Cut to the chase

  • What is it? A sequel to 2011’s post-apocalyptic first-person shooter Rage
  • What can I play it on? PS4, Xbox One and PC
  • When can I play it? May 14, 2019

Rage 2 release date

Bethesda originally confirmed a Spring 2019 release date, and we now know it'll be on May 14, 2019. Start your engines, survivors.

Rage 2 trailers

Danny Dyer comes to Rage 2
Yes, you read that correctly. Cockney legend Danny Dyer is lending his dulcet tones to Rage 2, acting as a mentor to players when they activate the Diamond Geezer cheat code.

Game Awards 2018 open-world trailer
Not much to add at this point, but this trailer is still a fun MTV-meets-Fallout run-through of the dusty neon wasteland.

QuakeCon 2018 extended gameplay trailer
We’ve already seen quite a bit of Rage 2, but the Eden Assault extended gameplay trailer shown during the QuakeCon 2018 keynote gave us a closer look at the seamless open world, vehicle combat, abilities and enemy convoys.

Take a look:

Though many people had already watched it through leaked recordings, the official advertisement for Rage 2 finally launched in 2018 and you can watch it for yourself below.

Gameplay trailer
Following this somewhat obscure live action footage, Bethesda went on to release a gameplay trailer which gives us a little more of an idea of what we can expect.

Overall, Rage 2 looks like it's going to be a fast-paced, chaotic and utterly silly game (in a good way, of course). The trailer promises a more open world, more vehicle gameplay and some seriously big guns. With more expletives than that. Watch it for yourself below:

Rage 2 news and rumors

Post-release roadmap

As if fans weren't excited enough to get a brand new Rage game on May 14, Bethesda has already outlined its post-release plans for the game from launch until the end of the year. From May through to July, players will see brand new vehicles and weapon skins introduced alongside world and community events for players.

As soon as August, the game will see its first big expansion, Rise of the Ghosts, which will introduce a new storyline and region as well as more vehicles, weapons and abilities.

Another significant expansion is slated to release in November, though Bethesda is remaining secretive as to what it will involve when it comes.

System Specs

Rage 2 has now gone gold and we're racing towards its release date. If you're thinking about picking it up on PC, you might want to make sure your hardware is up to scratch with Bethesda's official system specs.

Rage 2 minimum specs

OS: Windows 7, 8.1, or 10 (64-Bit versions)

Processor: Intel Core i5-3570 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X

Memory: 8GB RAM

Graphics: Nvidia GTX 780 3GB or AMD R9 280 3GB

Storage: 50GB available space

Rage 2 recommended specs

OS: Windows 7, 8.1, or 10 (64-Bit versions)

Processor: Intel Core i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X

Memory: 8GB RAM

Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1070 8GB or AMD Vega 56 8GB

Storage: 50GB available space

The PC version of the game boasts an uncapped framerate and support for ultra-wide and super ultra-wide resolutions as well as the ability to toggle HUD, motion blur and depth of field.

Those playing on console won't need to worry about these pesky specifications but that doesn't mean no limitations. When it comes to resolutions the PS4 version will run at 1080p/30FPS, while the Xbox One caps out at 900p/30FPS. Those on the 4K consoles, PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, can look forward to 1080p/60FPS.

Cheat codes
The Diamond Geezer cheat is just one of the free Rage 2 cheats that will be made available to players. Others include the 'He's on Fire' cheat which sees NBA Jam's Tim Kitzrow commentating the game and 'Git Gud' which sees every enemy going down in one hit.

In addition, Bethesda has promised more cheats will be dropped into the game on a rotating basis, and additional cheats will be added to the lineup post-launch.

But how can you access Rage 2 cheats? According to Bethesda, the Rage 2 Deluxe Edition comes with three cheats right off the bat. But while these cheats will be accessible to anyone with any version of the game, those without the Deluxe Edition may have a bit more legwork to do.

"Cheats are given to you by the Wasteland Wizard," senior gameplay programmer Peter Hastings explains on Bethesda's official blog. "He’s a mystical sage with universe-altering powers, who can be found wandering the wasteland."

The Wasteland Wizard will sell players cheats for in-game currency (if you can find him), so you don't have to actually pay real-life money for extra cheats.

QuakeCon 2018
The QuakeCon extended gameplay trailer gave us a closer look at the obstacles we'll be facing in Rage 2.

Set 30 years after the events of Rage, Rage 2 takes place in the aftermath of a global catastrophe which essentially turned Earth into a wasteland. Although the world is beginning to recover, with wildlife slowly making a return, the Authority is using extreme measures to shape the wasteland in the way it sees fit – even if that means taking out non-mutant humans.

Alongside the Authority, the wasteland is home to an array of bandits and rebels, such as the hyper-violent Goon Squad and the technologically-advanced Immortal Shrouded. Each faction has its own weapons, settlements, combat styles and vehicles. Some even travel in monstrous convoys - but they're no match for your mortar.

Explore jungle, wetlands and desert biomes on your mission to take down the Authority and cause utter chaos.

E3 2018
Bethesda's showcase during E3 brought us a little more information about Rage 2 and gave us a good glimpse into how it will play. Players will take up the role of Walker, an orphan of the wasteland fighting to survive. In the gameplay footage we saw a wide open world, a look at some seriously cool off road vehicle and some fast-paced, intense shootouts.

The gameplay trailer
Our most in depth look at Rage 2 yet has come from the gameplay trailer which was revealed on May 15. This trailer confirms that the game will be released sometime in 2019 and suggests that players will be entering a much more open world than was featured in the original title. The combat looks utterly wild, with big guns and super-fast fluid movement.

As far as story is concerned, information is still pretty thin on the ground but we do know there will at least be one. Bethesda says that players will take the role of Walker, “the last Ranger of the wasteland." As Walker "you will tear across an unforgiving wasteland battling sadistic gangs to find the tools and tech needed to crush the oppressive rule of The Authority once and for all.”

The trailer leak
After the Walmart leak, Bethesda managed to claw back some control over Rage 2 with its Twitter campaign which teased a formal reveal and trailer. Only to fall foul of another leak.

Following the teasing that a trailer for Rage 2 would be released on May 14, Gematsu reported that the trailer had leaked in a YouTube pre-roll advert. The trailer apparently revealed in front of several videos tied to gaming on YouTube and outside of Gematsu’s report, Tweets from Wario64 and others appeared online.

The trailer was quickly set to private and anyone that managed to mirror capture the trailer and re-upload it to YouTube has seen their videos taken down. The Twitter captures, however, remain. They show a range of Mad Max-style characters screaming, shooting and lifting weights while plumes of neon smoke billow in the background.

The Twitter teasing
In response to the Walmart leak, Bethesda did the right thing. It teased Rage 2 by reviving the Rage Twitter account. And teased Walmart. After picking apart Walmart Canada’s font on the leaked game cover, the account started teasing an announcement and trailer for Monday May 14 through a series of images.

Clean up on aisle 6 – Walmart Canada has sprung a big leak
The first evidence of Rage 2 emerged from a May 2018 leak on Walmart Canada’s website. The retailer published a list of games, some of which hadn’t been announced, to its website. And one of the games which appeared on this list was Rage 2.

Naturally at this point, Rage 2 wasn’t a certainty since the list did have some spurious titles on it – Forza Horizon 5, for example. However, it also appeared alongside some games we both know are coming such as Beyond Good and Evil 2 and The Last of Us 2, as well as games that haven’t been announced but seem likely such as Gears of War 5 and Splinter Cell.

Bethesda has big post-release plans for Rage 2

Posted: 12 May 2019 06:01 AM PDT

Rage 2 may not be launching until May 14 but Bethesda has already revealed a roadmap detailing post-release plans for the game from its release until the end of 2019. Even the most chaotic game worlds need a well-organised plan to thrive.

In a blog post on the Bethesda site, the publisher offered fans a brief overview of the plans to keep them entertained with promises of new vehicles, enemies, community challenges and expansions among other things.

From Rage 2's launch in May Bethesda will start rolling out community challenges and world events, while June and July will see bigger additions like brand new vehicles and some fresh weapon skins.

The year ahead

In August things start getting serious as you'll see the launch of the first “major” expansion: Rise of the Ghosts. This will introduce a new region and storyline to the game as well as more new weapons, vehicles and abilities.

September until December is still fairly vague at the moment. However, plans are in place and players can expect a second significant expansion in November, with yet another new story and areas to explore. Bethesda has teased that it will be revealing more about this expansion soon. Understandably, Bethesda probably wants to build excitement for the first major expansion before it starts the hype for the second.

In our hands on experience with Rage 2 earlier this year we called the game “ambitious” and found ourselves “anxious to try more”.

We don't have much longer to wait; Rage 2 will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC from May 14.

The future of voice recognition: meet your AI-controlled 'digital twin'

Posted: 12 May 2019 05:00 AM PDT

This is a re-published article that we've picked as one of our favorites of the last year from our suite of TechRadar Originals.

Speech is a much more natural way of interacting with devices than poking at buttons and screens, and its popularity has exploded in recent years, with voice-enabled digital assistants now integrated into virtually every household device imaginable.

That growth has been made possible by the works of companies like XMOS. The name might not be immediately familiar, but if you’ve ever used an Alexa-enabled device then you’ve benefited from its technology.

XMOS is a fabless semiconductor company specializing in voice processing. Its algorithms are capable of detecting softly-spoken voice commands from across a room – even in challenging conditions (like rooms with a lot of hard surfaces). So why has voice taken off so rapidly?

“I think it makes life easier,” says Alex Craciun, algorithm engineer at XMOS. “You don’t have so many cables and complicated instructions that you have to take care of. You can just give commands and the device tunes itself, or tells you something that you want it to. That’s a lot easier.”

“I play IT support to my parents, and we think voice is going to end that, because your technology will tell you how it works,” adds director of corporate marketing Esther Connock. “It won’t need to come with a remote; it won’t need to come with an instruction booklet – you just talk to it in a very natural, conversational way, and that for us democratizes technology because you don’t need to learn how to use it. You don’t need to come at it with knowledge.

“So if you think about people with low literacy or low levels of education, suddenly it’s a much more open playing field. Vulnerable sectors of society can use technology and become less isolated. So for us, voice is the most natural thing in the world.”

It's good to talk

XMOS part of the blossoming tech industry in Bristol emerging from the city’s two universities, which also includes Ultrahaptics (which uses ultrasound to create a sensation of touch in mid-air), Reach Robotics (creator of the Mekamon augmented reality robot) and Graphcore (a spin-off from XMOS).

Its speech detection and isolation tech includes beamforming (which tracks a person’s voice as they move around a room and moves the microphone to follow them), acoustic echo cancelation (separating the user’s voice from sound being played by the device itself), deverberation (compensating for echoes), noise suppression, barge-in (which stops audio playback when the device’s wake-word is detected), and fixed or automatic gain control (ensuring all voices in conference calls are heard at the same volume, regardless of how loudly the person is speaking).

The company was founded in 2005, built on research from the University of Bristol. “They developed a micro-controller that could do a lot of processing, had a lot of power and capability, and could perform a lot of tasks concurrently,” explains Connock, “so that was hugely exciting.”

Apple’s decision to kill off the FireWire port in 2008 opened up the market for USB audio, where XMOS found its niche. The company diversified, working for big players like Harmon Kardon and Yamaha, but also for DJs with their mixing decks, before turning to multi-channel audio.

“With a board with a lot of processing power, we could produce something with up to 32 channels of output, so we could get fantastic multi-channel audio,” explains Connock. “And that specialism in sound and audio led us into voice as it started to emerge. One of our clients said, ‘With all your expertise, you should be thinking about microphones and capturing voice.’ And that’s exactly what we did.”

For us [voice] democratizes technology because you don't need to learn how to use it

Esther Connock, XMOS

In 2017, XMOS gained Amazon certification for its far-field voice interface. “We’re still their only qualified partner with a stereo solution, so for anyone developing TVs and soundbars and set-top boxes and doing work in true stereo, we’re the only provider that can do acoustic cancelation in stereo,” says Connock. “That’s really important to us, and something that we’re focusing heavily on this year at CES. But we’ve also just qualified with Baidu, so that’s very exciting, and we’re doing some work with NTT Docomo as well. We’re expanding across the regions.”

Outside the home

XMOS currently specializes in edge-of-room voice applications, but it’s investigating other areas too, including in-car interfaces.

“The technology that we’ve been developing over in Boston – sound source separation, which extracts multiple voices in a conversation – works really well for automotive,” says Connock. “So if you can imagine that I can be on the phone to you and I’m driving, it strips out everything that you can hear except for my voice. The kids can be shouting in the back, they can have a film that’s playing, and all you’ll get is my voice.”

The company also has an interesting prediction for the future of voice: as a personal assistant (in a flexible, wearable smartphone) that will sit between us and the big companies that currently provide voice recognition services.

“If I look at Amazon and Google (and to a degree Apple, with Apple music), they have a bias because they’re trying to sell us stuff. And I love Amazon for selling me stuff, but what I don’t want is voice spam, and the minute that starts to happen, people will switch away from voice,” explains Connock.

The solution would be a kind of mid-layer that filters out any spam, and points you to the service that has the most relevant content for you (which it will learn based on your preferences).

Your digital twin

It’s not just a theory – XMOS is already having conversations to make it happen. “It will happen quickly,” Connock says, “so we are looking at partnering, building, buying to create that ecosystem. So there’s a lot within that – there are lots of people we know operating in that space today. It’s open and it’s ready and we want to be taking advantage of it.

It will learn not just my music preferences, but my everything preferences

Esther Connock, XMOS

According to Connock, this will result in the creation of a ‘digital twin’ – a term that she admits sounds a bit twee, but is useful. It will learn and adapt to the way you use it. For example, it could learn that you don’t want it to speak to you unless you’ve spoken first.

“It will learn not just my music preferences, but my everything preferences. When I want to be disturbed, my friends that I will prioritize talking to – everything.”

Naturally speaking

However, even with a truly personal assistant to filter out any spam, voice recognition still faces some resistance.

“When you look at this,” Connock says, picking up her smartphone, “this is always on, it has a camera, it can always hear you, it’s got sensors, it gathers a lot of data, you type everything into it, and because we’re so used to it and so reliant on it, and it’s so close to us, people don’t see this as a privacy issue at all.

The field is advancing really, really fast. It could even be tomorrow that something more natural comes up there

Alex Craciun, XMOS

“And yet when you put a speaker in the middle of the room, everyone says ‘Oh, it’s listening!’ Well it is, but not as much as [the phone] is!”

Connock believes that relevant, trusted content will be the key to voice becoming widely accepted. The moment the industry puts sales ahead of the user’s experience, it will have a problem, so XMOS is making sure it’s on the front foot, and prepared to react in case that happens.

There’s also the question of natural speech, as opposed to commands. Alexa Skills are very handy, but they’re not the same as talking to another human. XMOS’s algorithm engineers are working on making the interaction much more organic.

“You need to feel like the machine understands your emotions – like it’s frictionless – then it will take off,” says Connock.

It might sound like science fiction, but Craciun says it’s closer than we realize. “I think it’s already happening,” she says. “We’re seeing lots of developments from Amazon; every single month there’s something new coming up that you can read about. So the field is advancing really, really fast. It could even be tomorrow that something more natural comes up there.”

Well it all comes down to this for Liverpool in this season's Premier League. They've hung in all the way and one last victory against Wolves could make them champions for the first time in almost 30 years. And you're in the right place to get a Liverpool vs Wolves live stream in the Premier League - regardless of where on Earth you are.

What a season it's been for Jurgen Klopp's Red army. One league defeat, a Champions League final (including that win on Tuesday against Barcelona), some of the best football being played in the world and yet still they may end the campaign with nothing to show for it. They still need City to trip up today to get a sniff of the Premier League crown. Will the trophy finally return to the Kop?

Nothing would please Wolves fans more to scupper Liverpool's chances after a phenomenal first season back in the top flight. They're assured of seventh place, but a win on the last day of the season would cement themselves as potential Premier League big boys. They'll have to stop a determined Mo Salah though - he's back from injury for this one.

Keep reading to discover all the details you need in order to live stream Liverpool vs Wolves, regardless of where in the world you are. And to find out how to watch every single league game today, you should also take a look at our guide on how to live stream Premier League football

F1 live stream: how to watch the 2019 Spanish Grand Prix online from anywhere

Posted: 12 May 2019 03:44 AM PDT

The F1 live stream you've been looking for is no further than a few words away. Now you can enjoy the Spanish Grand Prix in all its Formula 1 glory as the teams take to Barcelona for the Spanish Grand Prix 2019 and this guide shows you exactly how to watch the race from anywhere in the world.

The 2019 F1 season is well under way with its fifth race, the Spanish Grand Prix, all set to take place in Barcelona. It's Valtteri Bottas that leads the pack in the drivers championship after his win at Baku. While that puts Mercedes at the top of the constructor standings it does mean Bottas' teammate Lewis Hamilton, who had to settle for second place in Azerbaijan, has been bumped to second place overall now.

And it's no different this weekend, as Bottas and Hamilton start at the front row of the grid after dominating practice and qualifying.

But the Barcelona circuit is traditionally the race of the season where teams introduce major upgrades, so don't be surprised if we do see some new faces on the podium by the time Sunday is done.

You can catch all the Spanish Grand Prix racing action live from anywhere you are, using this guide. Read on to find out how to live stream F1 race.

HTC is launching a cheaper version of its blockchain phone

Posted: 12 May 2019 02:30 AM PDT

HTC isn't giving up on its blockchain phone strategy: following on from the Exodus 1 that launched late in 2018, the company has revealed a cheaper version of the phone is going on sale later this year.

We don't have many details about the handset yet, but HTC has said the phone will run as a full node – in other words, it will validate and relay Bitcoin transactions, and help keep the blockchain network running.

To do that it's going to have to hold the entire Bitcoin blockchain (200GB and growing) and take a performance hit too. The same full node functionality is coming to the Exodus 1 as well, apparently, but that phone will need an SD card.

HTC's Phil Chen told CoinDesk that the aim was to make a blockchain phone that's "a lot cheaper" and "a lot more accessible", and that having the new phone run as a full node is going to be “a really important piece of the pie”.

Carry on crypto

The first HTC Exodus 1 was originally only available to buy via Bitcoin, but eventually went on sale for $699. The Exodus 1s going to retail for around $250-300 (roughly £190-230 or AU$355-430) HTC says.

We don't know any details about size, styling or specs at this stage, but no doubt HTC will fill in some of the gaps in the coming months, before the Exodus 1s goes on sale.

Back in February, Chen underlined HTC's commitment to these phones in an interview with TechRadar Pro: "We're not riding the wave, we are genuinely authentic in serving and developing for the community in creating the next generation of the internet in a decentralised way."

Chen also admitted that the first Exodus was "definitely a 1.0 version", so it's going to be interesting to see the improvements HTC makes with the Exodus 1s.

You get the iPhone, I’ll get the mortgage - the rising price of smartphones

Posted: 12 May 2019 02:00 AM PDT

The only sure things in life are death, taxes and rising smartphone prices, at least if the past few years are anything to go by.

From the likes of the iPhone 4 costing an average of around $500/£500/AU$860 in only 2010, to prices on some phones soaring over $1,900/£1,800/AU$4,500 now with the introduction of newcomers such as the Huawei Mate X and Samsung Galaxy Fold, it can widely be seen that the situation is becoming, on the surface, egregious.

But why has this happened? What has caused these changes, and how can we expect things to pan out in future?

Supply and demand

According to Statista.com, throughout 2010 globally, 304.7 million devices classed as ‘smartphones’ were shipped. In 2018, we see that 1.4 billion units found their way around the world, a significant increase in anyone’s books.

The downside to manufacturers is of course, that almost everyone to whom an expensive smartphone can be sold now already has one, and is likely planning to hang onto it for at least a while. On top of which, the market is saturated with dozens of different players, both local and international.

As such, the game isn’t as lucrative as it once was, so what recourse do publicly-traded manufacturers have to meet the needs of shareholders?

Why, price rises of course - as can be seen in the difference between the iPhone 8 and the iPhone X, devices with many similarities but pitched very differently. Jacking up the cost of entry for an iPhone X ensures that each unit sold brings a greater return, a perfect short-term solution with significant long-term implications.

A folding dream

But it’s not just about companies improving the profit margins of their devices. What do the Galaxy Fold and Mate X have in common beside a high price point? They are both the byproduct of millions spent in R&D. What defines the Huawei P30 Pro? A camera zoom unit created by teams of engineers working near the top of their game.

Building a top smartphone in 2019 requires premium materials, precise craftsmanship, a polished software experience and more - the consumer expects everything. And for everything comes a hefty price rise, one which needs to be passed back to Joe Public.

That isn’t to mention the essential marketing spend, and a changing global economy. Whether depreciating currencies, trade wars, inflation or otherwise, the costs of development and manufacturing have only risen - and will likely continue to do so at least throughout the near future.

An impeccably-made, steel-sided iPhone that feels like jewelry in the hand, with a top-of-the-line OLED screen, an incredible camera and a powerful chipset is a wonderful dream, however it is also an expensive one both for the manufacturer and the consumer.

The shape of the future

So the price of manufacturing is rising, the global market is shrinking and the fruits of continued R&D spending are becoming less frequent, what does this mean for the average Joe?

The saturation of the market has seen a change in the idea of what a ‘smartphone’ is. From being something of a luxury commodity in 2010, personified by the ‘cult’ of the iPhone, now a smartphone is something everyone and their grandmother possesses. They simply aren’t special anymore.

And with budget handsets becoming ever better, and budget handset makers becoming ever better at selling them, the reasons for going premium are becoming ever more difficult to articulate.

In trying to give people reasons, manufacturers are needing to spend ever more in the hopes of making a phone that stands out, while also offering alternatives for those who will never be convinced.

As such, in 2019 we have seen the birth of the folding phone, and the beginning of the ‘budget flagship’, with devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S10e.

As more opportunities are seized to define releases by specific price points, so the fragmentation, and commoditization of the smartphone space will continue - like the laptop market from the mid 2000s.

And all the while, that top price bracket will continue to rise, into infinity and beyond.

UFC 237 live stream: how to watch Namajunas vs Andrade tonight from anywhere

Posted: 11 May 2019 04:23 PM PDT

The waiting is over...it's time for MMA fans to turn their attention to the Octagon in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. That's where Rose Namajunas and Jessica Andrade - as well as plenty more UFC stars - will do battle tonight, and you're in the right place to discover how to get a UFC 237 live stream - it doesn't even matter where in the world you are.

The UFC's big brawl in Brazil is looking like one not to be missed and the Women's Strawweight title bout is just the tip of the iceberg. A particularly brutal iceberg.

One of the key highlights for fans wanting to see a local hero, Anderson Silva is just the ticket. He may be from Sao Paulo, but the former middleweight champion had one of the very longest title reigns in history of UFC, making him a favorite of Brazilians all over the country. He's set to fight Jared Cannonier.

And then there's José Aldo fighting Alexander Volkanovski, with the former a three time UFC champion and currently still one of the best fighters in the featherweight division. The Rio crowd will blow the roof off if he wins on the night. And that's all before you even get to Namajunas vs Andrade.

Whoever you're cheering on during this weekend's MMA action, we’ll show you how to live stream UFC 237’s main card from anywhere in the world - for US viewers, you should just head straight to ESPN+.

Live stream UFC from outside your country

Worry not if you're a huge UFC fan but aren't in the US to watch that ESPN+ coverage this weekend. If you find the coverage is geo-blocked, you can try using a VPN to change your IP address to a US server and watch this week's main card just as if you were back at home.

How to watch UFC online in the US exclusively on ESPN

Gone are the days of watching UFC on cable television as ESPN+ has now secured the rights to show UFC 237 as well as all upcoming UFC Fight Nights. ESPN+ has already made a name for itself by hosting big-ticket tennis, soccer and boxing events.

If you don't already have a subscription, then the way to go seems to be a UFC Bundle, costing you $79.99. That won't just buy you the UFC 237 PPV, but you’ll get a year-long subscription to ESPN+ (that would normally cost $60 alone).

For those that already have an ESPN+ subscription, you can still buy access to UFC 237 for $59.99

Got your subscription or bundle sorted but find yourself outside the US this weekend? Scroll up the page and take a look at our advice for using a VPN to watch the UFC 237 live stream from outside your country.
